Nancy Seltzer holds more than 28 years of experience in the residential, development, retail, and commercial real estate sectors. Her extensive industry knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and unwavering commitment to client service have made her a trusted advisor to buyers and sellers throughout New York and beyond.
Prior to joining Sotheby’s International Realty, Nancy spent 13 years as a Real Estate Manager with Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America (TIAA) and College Retirement Equities Fund (CREF). In that role, she managed the organization’s three-million-square-foot Manhattan complex, as well as regional offices and campuses in Denver and Charlotte, North Carolina. Following her tenure at TIAA-CREF, Nancy became involved in a prominent family real estate development business, working alongside her husband for five years until his untimely passing. These experiences provided her with a comprehensive understanding of real estate from both institutional and entrepreneurial perspectives.
Known for her meticulous attention to detail and tireless work ethic, Nancy takes the time to understand the unique intricacies of every transaction. She is deeply invested in her clients’ success and possesses a keen understanding of market dynamics. Throughout her career, she has represented clients across a wide range of price points—from $1 million to more than $80 million. Her listings have received significant media attention, and she has been featured more than ten times on CBS’s Living Large since 2011.
A longtime member of the Harvard Club of New York City, Nancy has served on numerous committees, including the Art & Architecture, Admissions, and House Committees. During her more than 40 years of membership, she has organized and hosted over 25 highly attended programs focused on architecture, real estate, art, and design. She has also curated numerous art exhibitions, combining her passion for the arts with her dedication to charitable fundraising.
Nancy’s appreciation for urban life, architecture, landscape design, and business developed at an early age. She studied Environmental Design and Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania and continued her education at Harvard University, focusing on landscape and urban design. An accomplished artist, Nancy was a finalist in the 2015 Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series competition and has exhibited her work in respected galleries and exhibitions throughout New York City.
Having lived in, owned, and transacted real estate in Manhattan, the Hamptons, Palm Beach, Westchester County, and the Miami area, Nancy offers clients valuable firsthand knowledge of these markets and their unique lifestyles. Born in the Bronx, she grew up in a close-knit family whose insurance business served the real estate industry. Shortly thereafter, her family relocated to Rye, New York, where she attended Rye Country Day School. Raised by a fashion designer mother and entrepreneurial father, Nancy enjoyed a childhood enriched by creativity, business, music, and strong family values. Family dinners, social gatherings, and a home filled with music—from piano and flute performances to opera and The Beatles—helped shape her appreciation for both culture and community.
Nancy credits the warmth, reliability, and support of her family as the foundation for many of her personal and professional achievements. Beyond real estate, she has maintained longstanding involvement with the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation, Temple Emanu-El in New York City (where she celebrated her Bat Mitzvah in 2025), the Harvard Club of New York City, and numerous museums and musical organizations.
Whether assisting a first-time buyer, seasoned investor, or luxury homeowner, Nancy is dedicated to helping her clients achieve their real estate goals with confidence, discretion, and exceptional service.
